My first job had been a good and bad experience, but I don’t want to go to the bad because it was something that I experienced so many times in my life and it only brings me down every time I remember the details. Anyway, one of the things that I was a little concerned about is that whenever we had a meeting, our boss smokes, and he was blind. By the way, he was smoking
electronic cigarettes. I’m not fully aware of the difference between the genuine cigarettes and electronic cigarettes, except for the fact that electronic cigarettes are the healthier way.
I really can’t imagine how he enjoys smoking electronic cigarettes without his sight. Of course, for smokers, smoking is a habit that is enjoyed with every puff you make. However, I don’t know how he gets pleasure smoking without seeing the smoke that he exhales. I don’t know about other smokers, but for me, without the smoke, I can’t really see why one would try doing it.
Because I’m too curious of how my boss enjoyed smoking, I did the most obvious action to somehow get the experience resembling that with a blind person’s, which is by smoking with you eyes shut. After lighting a cigarette, I tried closing my eyes and puffed a few. Every puff I make was really incomparable to those when my eyes are open. I really don’t get it. One of the things I enjoy while smoking is creating circles of smoke, but because I can’t see a thing, I just did the normal inhale-exhale combination, and I didn’t finish my cigarette without opening my eyes because I feel that I’m wasting a stick.
If I was blind, I am not sure if I’d still smoke or not, whether it is an electronic cigarette or not. It really did not give the pleasure that I have when I smoke with open eyes. And I’m not sure if the feeling of smoking as a blind person has some good things about it, but I may just find an alternative for this habit of mine in case I become blind. I think it may take a while before I get to know what blind people experience from smoking without seeing anything, but of course, I don’t really want to do an experiment for a long period just to determine such matter.
